Shanaya Fischer (she/her)
Shanaya holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Social Justice and Human Rights. She is Cree from Cowessess First Nations and is the granddaughter of a residential school survivor. She resides in Mohkinstsis, colonially known as Calgary, Alberta. She is passionate about basic income as a poverty-reduction strategy, and has a special interest in the intersection between poverty and child welfare investigations.
Manpinder Dhillon (he/him)
Based in Winnipeg on Treaty 1 Territory, Manpinder Dhillon (he/him) is a Director on the Steering Committee for the Basic Income Canada Youth Network (BICYN). He previously worked as the Settlement Coordinator for the Seven Oaks School Division working with newcomers. Manpinder graduated from the Maples Met School, a Big Picture Learning, a project and internship-based high school and is currently a student at the University of Winnipeg. Manpinder is a past speaker at TedxMaplesMetSchool.
