Kate, a mother of three, is a former registered nurse (operating room, bedside and community) with over 25 years of experience as a clinically-trained master level social worker in the fields of family therapy, addictions and mental health using brief solution focused and acceptance and commitment therapeutic approaches to working with individuals, couples, families and groups. Kate has practiced in Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as, holding university lectureships at five academic institutions (social work field practice, addiction studies and women’s studies). Kate’s compassion, practicality and humour allows her to notice and cherish the small moments thereby contributing to her wellness.
