This National Forum is a joint effort of the Child Welfare League of Canada (CWLC) and the Government of Alberta to gather leaders in the field of infant, child, and youth mental health to share ideas and strategies to address mental health well-being and vulnerabilities. The event’s discussions will focus on improving collaboration between sectors, strengthening policies and programs, and strengthening service delivery models that respond to children's mental health. The Forum’s deliberations will be on the following themes:
· Innovation, Collaboration and Emerging Practices; and
· Working Across Disciplines and Systems, Challenges and Opportunities.
The Minister of Alberta Children’s Services and the Associate Minister of Health will provide the opening keynote and a federal minister is expected to address this important event. In addition four deputy ministers from across Canada have been invited to present on their work on infant, child and youth mental health.
