(Ottawa, Ontario) April 10, 2014 – The Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW) joins with the nation in mourning the loss the Honourable Jim Flaherty.
Regardless of political affiliation, CASW and the Honourable Jim Flaherty shared a common commitment to building a stronger Canada.
“Partisan politics aside, the Honourable Jim Flaherty is deeply respected for his noble service and dedication to our great country” states CASW President, Morel Caissie. “His commitment to Canadians was beyond reproach, demonstrating a loyalty and duty that exceeded his obligations to office.”
CASW wishes to extend our deepest condolences to Christine Elliott, the couple’s three sons, and the entire Flaherty family.
